The Mount Lofty Rangers

The Mount Lofty Rangers started in 1974 and employed over 200 members over the next 4 years or so, including Bon Scott, Robyn Archer, Glenn Shorrock, and Chris Bailey. They played many gigs at the Lion Hotel, the Adelaide Festival theatre, and countless little country pubs and halls. Musical director Peter Head, (then known as Peter Beagley) often featured ex-members of Headband and Fraternity. Eventually Head created a rock-musical called Lofty, which played at Her Majesty’s Theatre.PhotosMagazines
